A friend recently posted a picture of the person next to her in traffic. The older gentleman was on a scooter. He had on 3 things: a helmet, a pair of sandals and what appeared to be a tiny pair of shorts, or perhaps underpants. His long silver hair was blowin’ in the breeze, his wrinkled skin was tanned; he looked content. It was that image that made me pause, and think about the power in being true to who you are.
While the world constantly stresses STRETCH YOURSELF MORE, it can very easily feel like we have to be something else. Bigger. More fancy. More flashy. More, more. But perhaps it’s about evolving within who we are. Here at Sweetcicle's everyday we work at being the best version of a candy company and ourselves. How can we make an even better product? How can we build a better business? How can we be braver and kinder? We don’t always get there because we are imperfect human beings, but we try. And while we won’t be cruising around in our underwear on scooters (it’s sort of against company policy), we tip our cap to that gentleman and to everyone who is true to himself or herself.
